Merge Fusion Server
  • The Merge Fusion Server by Eklin is a storage unit for our images “off site”. It is a safe and convenient way to hold large amounts of data.
  • The information that is stored there must be sent there.

  • The Fusion Server is not meant to be used for diagnostic evaluation!! I.e. You can not see reference slices for a CT scan.

Making Changes to a Study, Series, or Image
  • You have the capability to change 1 single image or you can change every image within a study.

  • Before you make any changes make sure that you click on the appropriate icon.

  • Example: If you make a change in the windowing and you forget to click on the Check Series icon, your changes will only affect the one image and all the rest of the images will have the old setting.

Refining your Images
  • When you load a case into the viewing window, the computer does not bring in all of the information. If you want to see your image with “all” of the information, you click on the Refine icon and the computer will add all of the information by increments.

  • Each time you hit the Refine icon a little more of the information is “filled in” until all the data is loaded. Reduces the image compression.

  • When in use, the mouse pointer changes to a “stack” of papers/images.

Looping your Images
  • This icon allows you to view all of your images from a series one right after the other without you having to touch anything.

  • The images go through at a rapid rate which doesn’t seem to allow you to slow down or speed up. If you are using this icon to help “study” images, DON’T.

  • If you have made changes to your images and you want them to return to their original form, click on the “Reload” icon and the computer will reload your images from scratch.
