Client Testimonials
Dear
Dr. Debi O’Keefe, Laura Dalrymple, and the Oncology Staff,
and to all the wonderful, caring people at Michigan Veterinary
Specialists,
Thanks to all of you, our sweet, beautiful golden retriever,
Maggie, is celebrating her eleventh Christmas with us this year.
When she was diagnosed with lymphoma in July 2002, we understood
she would live for about a year. If not for your professional
expertise, as well as your extreme kindness, she would not be
here today, four years later. Thank you from the bottom of our
hearts for all you have done for her and for us. All the very
best wishes for a blessed, happy holiday season to you and your
families.
—Jeannie, Jack and Madeline B. And Maggie, too, of course!
Dear Dr. Kuehn,
My two cats are cured, thanks to you. I want to tell you how
pleased I am with the care and treatment you have given us. Your
diagnosis and prescribed therapy have worked wonders.
Sam, 11 years old, had coughing spells lasting 2-3 minutes four-five
times a day for the past 5 years. He does not cough anymore! In
addition his voice has returned. Because of laryngitis he was
limited to a clicking sound. His meow is back to normal and he
loves to sing! Especially at night.
Hughie, age 8, developed the same cough last summer, apparently
acquiring it from Sam. In October, 2005 he began to have a purulent
nasal discharge from the left nostril and this was quite messy
because he did not use Kleenex and spread it around liberally.
Both cats seemed better after 48 hours and improvement progressed
steadily and they appeared asymptomatic after one week. I continued
the Zithromax as you prescribed. I could hardly believe the transformation.
They are much more frisky, alert and happy. Thank you very much.
Also, your intern was very pleasant and helpful to me. He was
genuinely interested in the problem and made me feel at home.
—Dr. M.
Dr.
Morreale and the whole Zoo Crew at MVS,
We wanted to take a moment during this busy season to wish you
all a very joyful holiday and to thank you for your kindness and
special care which you have given Maggie these past few months.
Without your expertise and true dedication, we are very positive
that Maggie’s eye would not have been saved.
We spent many sleepless nights agonizing over her condition,
but your gentle hearts helped us to realize that she is still
our nutty, bouncy, playful puppy. In spite of her very rough year
(first ACL surgery on her knee, then eye surgery for the ulcer
on her cornea) she is as happy as ever. We thank God that you
all were there to help us and wish you the very best in 2007!
—Cheryl, Dick and Maggie E.
To: MVS Staff
It’s been almost four years since Weber survived his liver
failure ordeal, thanks to Dr. Kuehn. He’ll be 14 in February
and still takes Budesonide for his IBD and PZI for his diabetes
(he’s been diabetic for 5 ½ years!). Despite the
daily issues he’s presented with by these diseases, he remains
engaged and active in life, with a high degree of quality.
Rocky is an active, crazy 5 year old cat now. It’s hard
to believe he had surgery (OK-four surgeries) for a luxating patella
3 years ago. Since then, I’ve never seen him lame or limping
(problems prior to his visit to MVS). Despite everything he went
through that November and into the following year, the surgery
on his knee was well worth it and I would do it all over again.
Our vet, Dr. Tremblay, says the results are “amazing’!
Often times when dealing with a flare up of IBD or a bad blood
curve, I recall something that Dr. Kerstetter said when it was
clear that Rocky would need a 3rd surgery, “hang in there…
some day this just be a bad memory in the rear view mirror of
life”. I remain very grateful to all of you and the MVS
staff for the care that Weber and Rocky received that allows them
to still be here today, healthy and happy.
—The C***** Family
Dear
Dr. Kuehn,
Thank you so much for the loving care you gave me and the understanding
and compassion you gave to my daddy. I was not feeling good and
was very scared the day when my dad brought me in to see you.
We had several very scary and sad days while we were trying to
figure out what was going on.
With your help, thankfully I was cleared of the ‘bad things’
that we were so afraid of and we now know what Pancreatitis is.
I was so happy and relieved that you told my daddy that I was
going to be okay and I was so glad to go home as I was really
getting tired of being away from home and away from my parents.
I get nervous and afraid when I have to see doctors even though
I know they are caring for me.
I am going to stay on the special food that you gave me and I
am happy that I do not have to take any medicine! I am going to
get heavy doses of TLC from my mom and dad, but that’s okay
with me!
My daddy told me that we will be coming back to see you on the
14th for a follow-up. I am already feeling so much better and
I wanted you to know that my parents and I are so thankful to
you and your kind hearted assistants for your special care! We
extend our love and respect to everyone at MVS!
—Chester P. and his parents
